In BACH CHORALE
Louis, Vicky 1 Do not going to parallel fifth/parallel eight + Can use parallel third, fourth and sixth - do not use hidden parallel fifth/parallel eight 2 open position cause/close position cause the two notes in the melody is bigger than 5 interval, the chord position must change. the two notes in the melody is equal to 3 interval, the chord position can change. the two notes in the melody is smaller than 3 interval, the chord position must not change. 3 leading note have a tendency that it must solve to the tonic note. 4 chord of six must use mix position to make the bassline smooth/fluent, which is being put between to the chord of three. Chord of six repeats the melody note. 5 The chord of three always repeat the root note and fifth note, avoid repeat third note (because of the overtone). 6 Avoid the chord progression V - IV. 7 The change of chord position is always apply the disjunct motion of the third note. (The disjunct motion of the third note always happen in soprano and tenor, avoid in alto - since it will make the chord in incorrect position) Avoid disjunct motion of the third note in alto 8 Ic (cadential 6-4 chord) conjunct or disjunct to the V. Ic is in the strong beat in the 4 beat melody, secondary accent beat in a 3 beat melody. The chord before ic is always subdominant chords.
